SHOULD I REPAIR OR REPLACE MY SYSTEM?

A helpful guideline to make the best decision:

  • Is the system over 10 plus years old? 

  • Is the repair estimate over $500?

  • Is the repair cost out of warranty? 

  • Is the indoor and outdoor equipment in fair or poor condition? 

  • Do you plan on staying in the home more than 5 years?

  • Are there air flow problems? (To hot in summer or too cold in the winter) 

  • Are there noise issues (i.e. vibrations, whistling)?

  • Is the unit cycling a lot? 

  • Have there been problems with comfort--too hot or too cold?

  • Since the house was built, have rooms been added?

  • Has any major component been replaced? (i.e. heat exchanger, compressor, coil)?

If you answered "NO" to all of the questions, repair might be the best solution.
